Our Christmas Ceilidh was once again a great success! Attending were 11 children, Santa (Thank you Audie Gibson, complete with robe and a long white beard), proud parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. Thanks to Jim Woolbright, even Rudolph made an appearance!

As always there was an abundance good food. More food than I have seen at this event in many years. Santa and his presents were a big hit with the children, but while the adults also enjoyed the food and Santa, they LOVED the auction! Rob Taylor out did his previous performances as the auctioneer for this event. Rob was assisted by the always beautiful "Vanna", otherwise known as Joanne Porter. As I made my way around the room, I observed some wonderful gifts purchased at the auction. They keep getting better every year! I'm not sure how much money we raised, but I think it was a record for the auction.

We collected a LARGE black bag of socks, mittens, hats and toys that the society members donated. These items will be given to St Giles Presbyterian Church for the Clothes Closet they sponsor. If you have, or know of an organization that collects these items for charity, please let one of the board members know before the party next year. They will arrange for you to take them to the charity of your choice.
Make your plans to attend this event next Christmas. It is becoming a "Do not miss event"!
